Do we need to have worked with Salient before to start managed services?

No. Salient takes over managed services for IBM environments built by other partners, built internally, or running without formal support for years. Onboarding includes an environment assessment and documentation review so the team understands your architecture before taking operational responsibility.

Yes. Both tracks are independently scoped and can be added, adjusted, or reduced at renewal without affecting the other. Many organizations start with the Technology track after a production launch and add Process Intelligence when they're ready to build out their CoE.

The track is calibrated to your current level. For a team with basic training, the focus shifts to methodology quality, business architecture currency, and analytical judgment that takes years to develop without expert coaching. Sessions are adjusted quarterly based on what your team actually needs.

Managed services is an operational commitment, not a block of hours. Salient takes ongoing responsibility for platform health and program quality, with defined deliverables, a regular cadence, and proactive monitoring. You're buying a running platform and an advancing capability, not access to our time.

Salient submits and owns all IBM PMR and support cases with direct relationships inside IBM's technical support organization. We own every case through to resolution, provide status updates, and escalate within IBM when severity requires it. You don't manage the IBM support relationship.

Agreements are scoped based on the number of environments covered, architecture complexity, team size, and support intensity required. We assess your situation in a discovery call and give you a specific number before any commitment. Agreements are monthly retainers with annual terms and defined deliverables.
